Social Responsibility

In the spirit of reconciliation, Greyhound Australia acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Barunggam Country (Toowoomba) where our company was founded and Meanjin (Brisbane) where our head office is located, as well as those throughout Australia where we travel – from Naarm (Melbourne) in the south to Gimuy (Cairns) in the north, and as far west as Yawuru Country (The Kimberley) – and their connections to land, sea, and community through which we travel. We pay our respects to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Greyhound Australia is committed to carrying out business in an ethical way, ensuring we act in the best interests of not only our own economic and financial obligations, but also our people and the environment and communities we operate within. We do this through three key pillars: supporting our community at a local, regional, state, and national level; being inclusive of everyone we carry onboard our services; and ensuring a sustained positive future for the environment.

ENVIRONMENT

Travelling by coach is the most environmentally friendly form of long-distance travel. Greyhound is committed to protecting the environment and minimising our impact on the areas we travel through.

COMMUNITY

As Australia’s only national coach network, Greyhound connects rural and regional communities that planes and trains cannot. This is not only with passenger transport but also through postal and freight deliveries.
